WELCOME TO MY PAGE!
My name is Maree Denvers and I’m a mixed African American and Fijian queer woman who’s bounced between Australia and the US my whole life, so my perspective is pretty layered.
Queerness and creativity have always been central to how I process and make sense of the world, and I take real pride in my work—because for me, it’s also a form of activism. I’ve been lucky to grow up around all kinds of people and communities, from highly industrialized working-class neighborhoods to affluent college towns where struggles take different shapes.
I’ve never really fit the typical mold, so I’m all about bringing those unconventional, raw stories to the forefront—stories that show realness and complexity, and the people who don’t always get seen.
Current Projects

In my role as Lilith Morningstar in She Kills Monsters, I brought my own queer, nerdy experience to life, deeply understanding what it feels like to be in the closet and have my power suppressed.
Being part of this production allowed me to honor my younger, scared self through Lilith’s expressive in-game persona, creating an homage to queer culture, performativity, and drag movements that have inspired me.
This performance is a fearless celebration of authenticity and realness, and I dedicate it to all the queer nerdy kids out there who are finding their own voices and strength, just like I did.
